Neven Eyewear has introduced a new line of prescription glasses and sunglasses.
Features: Working in partnership with Atlanta-based laboratory Robertson Optical Laboratories, Inc., Neven Eyewear now offers 396 design options in its first collection. Kicking off the new line are 66 different frame styles and six different lens colors including clear, black, brown, coastal blue, rose-pink and silver. Robertson Optical Laboratories crafts these high-powered lenses to suit individual needs. The manufacturing process leverages the latest advancements in material science and technology to produce lightweight, durable frames crafted with upgraded TR90 material. All Neven sunglasses come with polarized lenses, anti-sea water coating and oleophobic coating, to assist with optimal performance and longevity. Upgrades are available for all prescription frames and lens colors at an additional cost.

Bausch + Lomb have launched Zenlens Echo scleral lenses.
Features: The non-prosthetic, custom scleral contact lens technology is designed to fit a variety of corneal shapes and sizes, including patients who have advanced ocular conditions such as corneal degeneration and certain postoperative conditions. Zenlens Echo can be used with a variety of technologies already available in clinical practice, including a slit lamp, optical coherence tomography scanning, profilometry or a Bi-Elevation fitting set. There is no additional training or certification required.

Features: The Night Driving Hard Coat is designed to significantly reduce glare, particularly in dark and rainy conditions. The coating effectively filters out yellow light, enhancing visibility and improving the color saturation of viewed objects, especially primary colors such as red, green and blue. This results in sharper contrast, vivid colors and enhanced rendition, making objects stand out even in low-light situations. In addition to its benefits for drivers, Night Driving Hard Coat is also compatible with contact lens wearers, ensuring comfort and clarity for those who prefer wearing contacts, Quantum Innovations says. The customizable options, including anti-reflective coatings, tinting and UV protection, allow customers to tailor their lenses according to their specific needs and preferences. The company notes improvements in color saturation, contrast and rendition provided by Night Driving Hard Coat have been described as striking by users, highlighting its effectiveness in challenging lighting conditions.

Zenni Optical has launched Blokz+ Tints, a lens designed to combat the harmful effects of blue light exposure from digital screens.
Features: Blokz+ Tints lenses feature dual-action blue light defense, integrating core blue light filtration with an additional blue anti-reflective coating and offer 26 times more blue light filtration than standard lenses. They come in an array of vibrant tints. Blokz+ Tints provide advanced protection against the harmful effects of blue light compared to standard lenses. Specifically designed to target blue light up to 455 nm, where the majority of harmful blue light emitted by digital devices peaks, Blokz+ Tints block up to 92 percent of blue light energy in the HEV 2 range (400-455 nm). In contrast, clear Blokz lenses typically block blue light up to 420 nm, providing less comprehensive protection by only targeting the lower ranges. Blokz+ Tints are offered in non-prescription, single-vision and progressive lens options.

Xenon Ophthalmics, a leader in telehealth eyecare solutions and ophthalmic device distributor, has launched the XO Exam System, a patented medical-grade headset that combines automated refraction and visual field exams in one wearable unit.
Features: The XO Eye Exam System headset includes three diagnostic tools for automated refraction including a digital phoropter, wavefront aberrometry and retinoscopy. The visual field exam capabilities include visual field, visual acuity, color vision deficiency, confrontation visual field, visual field (Esterman), contrast sensitivity and extraocular motility. The unit features automated liquid lens technology with a patented XO lens allowing for precise diopter adjustments as fine as 0.01 D, 0.025 D, 0.125 D and above. With a single eyecare practitioner or trained technician, up to 10 patient exams can be conducted and monitored simultaneously from a remote location. The second-generation version will include a slit lamp and retinal photography, culminating in the deployment of a third-generation device that will offer optical coherence tomography (OCT). The XO Exam System is now available for pre-order, with a launch date of early 2025.

Gunnar Optiks has launched Clear Pro lens technology, designed for creative professionals.
Features: Clear Pro is the ideal lens for color accuracy with the benefits of reducing digital eye strain and preventing computer vision syndrome symptoms, according to Gunnar. Similar to a neutral-density camera lens filter, Clear Pro lenses reduce the amount of light passing through the lens without changing or skewing the color of light passing through. The technology allows creatives to see in perfect color while reducing blue light exposure by 20 percent. Clear Pro technology makes its debut as part of Gunnar’s new Arbor Collection, a series of wood frames with a carbon fiber inner weave for increased durability and weight savings.
