And so, in grows… sustainability in the eyewear arena. Of course it does, and even though the challenge is huge based on the actual materials used and fused in the complex presence of every eyeglass, it is well worth noting that the quest for a greener footprint and a respectful world consciousness of what we make and what we wear is of paramount importance. Going green makes sense in every way. But the actual processes involved must be done in a forthright and trustworthy partnership approach involving manufacturers, vendors, retailer/dispensers and the increasingly conscientious consumer. There was a time, not that long ago, where the main material and fit functionality of eyewear was rightly focused on skin reactions. That factor remains, grows and ushers in well with the growing focus on sustainability. Other products are already well versed in this environmental and personal-concern initiative. All would do well to intensify the sake and agenda.
Our vision of the future and the eyewear we hold in high regard depends on it.
