I imagine if you take it to the extreme, Independent Eyewear could simply be a frame some one person makes for some one other person. Super individual. One of a kind. This is mine made by someone… for… someone.

“Hey… Where did you get those glasses?!”

“This guy I know made them for me.”

How cool is that? In this case the guy is Kevin Count, a super optician based in Chicago. I’m saving his full (and unique) story for a future issue but head over to his Facebook page to note his art in independent eyewear creations. When I saw this capture of his craft in action it sang to me.
